WLS COVID Protocols - 2023
What we need YOU to do
Your WLS Candidate will be attending WLS with Waterfront Directors from all over . . . who are then heading to your camp to run your trainings and orientations. THERE IS INHERRENT RISK that your WLS candidate will contract Covid-19 en-route to WLS, at WLS, or on the way to your camp from WLS.
Therefore, WLS HIGHLY recommends that your WLS candidate arrive at WLS completely up-to-date with their Covid-19 vaccinations. This includes boosters, when eligible.
Beyond and in addition to this, WLS must insist on the following from each WLS Candidate:
- A negative antigen test 24 hours before arrival, AND passing an antigen test upon arrival at WLS.
- A well-fitting surgical mask worn in any public transport (plane, bus, train) or public transport facility (airport, train or bus station) en-route to WLS.
- Willingness to respond to directives from Camp Cobbossee or WLS in regards to Covid-19, regardless of personal politics or opinions.
- An understanding that a positive Covid-19 test may mean the candidate must leave WLS 2023 and isolate themselves.
What we will do
- WLS will provide each candidate with a well-spaced sleeping area with good air flow (candidates will bunk in low-density cabins with other attendees)
- WLS will provide spaced-out classroom environments
- WLS will provide spaced-out eating arrangements
